It aims to create a unified system of feminist initiatives in Peru and facilitate access to currently available resources by serving as an entry point. Una makes content accessible both both online and through printable PDFs that are uploaded every month.

Currently, we are designing our applications for a young demographic: 0-45. The need of people over 65 are rarely taken into account. Older adults (people over 65) find most software difficult to use. They find it overwhelming to begin, and if they do try to understand it, the patterns and conventions make no sense to them. Moreover, the physical realities of aging are not taken into account. Realities such as reduction in cognitive processing speed, loss of fine motor precision, and a reduction in vision.

I began exploring how heavy tech users coexist with their devices and found that there is a rising problem of technology addiction and overexposure to digital screens. Respected institutions and academics have given guidelines on what people can do to help their problems, but there are few tools available to do it. I am creating a tool to help people reduce their time on their screens and empower others to be more mindful.

1 in every 5 people in America experience a mental illness. Yet, this topic is still taboo in our society, which makes it more difficult for people to open up about their experiences. My thesis aims to create a platform for people to tell their stories surrounding mental illnesses to build understanding and awareness on the issue.
